Intro from SDL:

As some of you may have seen on our Facebook wall, the BBC and Lambent Productions are filming a series of clips for BBC Learning this weekend. Full details below.

** Please note, if you want to attend you must contact them in advance (see email below). **

=========================

Here are the details of the shoot. Can you please stress that anybody who wants to come needs to phone or email me so that I can write them down on my list of dancers?! Hopefully we'll get some responses cos it will be a wonderful day if we can get a full room of lindy hop enthusiasts!

Lambent Poroductions is PARTY LIKE IT’S 1940: THE LINDY HOP on SUNDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 9.30am – 4.30pm for BBC Learning.

We are re-creating a 40s wartime dance and we want a room full of people to be dancing the lindy hop in 40s clothing. The Jiving Lindy Hoppers will be leading the dancing but we very much want other individuals and groups to come along and show us your stuff. There will be a live band and we will provide lunch, tea, cake and refreshments and it should be a lot of fun.

Please come at 9.30am on Sunday.

Everyone will need to bring their own 40s outfit but we will have hair and make up help on hand. This is a wartime era dance so men can wear suits or military uniforms and women need 40s dresses. Have a look at these dress styles http://adore-vintage.blogspot.com/2009/07/1940s-dress-patterns.html and http://www.tangerineboutique.com/item/Post_War_1940s_dress_pattern_Simplicity_Larger_Size/494/c81

Everybody involved will get a copy of the tape!

If you are interested to come, please get in touch with Rosie on 07887745945 or rosie@lambentproductions.co.uk so that we can confirm you as a dancer.

We look forward to meeting you on Sunday!
