As summer arrives, a number of *free* events have popped up organised by the British Museum, More London and The National Theatre.

On 4 July, The British Museum celebrates US Independence Day with Lindy hop and swing music, whilst Imelda May plays the Scoop near the London Assembly on 23 July.

And The National Theatre is hosting a number of dance evenings/afternoons to get us all swinging in July and August.

Welcome to the new website of Swing Dancers of London.

Set up originally on Facebook, we’re a keen group of swing dancers looking for places to express ourselves and dance. We organise our own events (mostly free) as well as joining in with others’. And London being London, there’s lots of dancing to be done.

We’re now extending into the big World Wide Web to bring you the latest news and events where London’s swing dancers are dancing.

Our Facebook group will remain the core place to find out about our events as well as being a lot more fun in terms of meeting new dancers and seeing what we’re all up to. But if you don’t have access to Facebook for whatever reason, you can keep up to date with our events, or join our mailing list.

Some additional feature are still to come, so keep an eye out, but for now, explore our site!
